Hyperpigmentation & Melasma Treatment

*If you are suffering from hyperpigmentation in the form of melasma, pregnancy mask, sunspots, freckles, and dark blemishes, we’ve got great news for you! Evolution Body Transformation now has the Epi Reset Peel! This is the most effective and rapid treatment we’ve ever seen for pigmented blotches and discoloration on the face.

What is it and how does it work?
*The Epi Reset Peel is a superficial peel with the addition of high potency hydroquinone and retinoic acid. This specific combination targets the pigment cells in melasma, pregnancy mask, sunspots, freckles, and dark blemishes.

*After thoroughly cleansing the skin, a vitamin A peel is applied. Next, a creamy mask which contains the high potency bleaching products is applied. We recommend wearing your hair pulled back the day of the treatment to avoid getting product in it. The patient leaves the office with this facial mask in place for 6 to 10 hours before washing off, so you will want to schedule the treatment at a time when you don’t have to be in public. The procedure continues at home, with a 3 month-long regimen of specific products included in the kit. The success of this peel is dependent on consistent aftercare with the products provided. The most important factor is strict sun protection; after the peel, the fresh, new skin may darken if it is exposed to even small amounts of sun.

Does it work on darker skin?

*Yes! It is safe to use on any skin type or color. For darker-skinned patients, there are significant limitations and higher risks with photo facial treatments, conventional peels, and fractional laser treatments. The Epi Reset Peel is a breakthrough for these patients, as it works optimally on their skin.

Who should not receive this treatment?

If any of the following apply to you, you should avoid this treatment:

  • Have active cold sores, warts, open wounds, sunburn, dermatitis, or inflamed skin disease in the area to be treated
  • Have a history of skin reactions or extremely sensitive skin on the face
  • Have taken Accutane or isotretinoin within the last year
  • Are pregnant or breast-feeding
  • Have received chemotherapy or radiation therapy in the last year
  • If your face will have to be exposed to the sun in the next several months

or, download our scheduling app on Google Play! or the Apple App Store.

How many treatments will I need?
*Typically only one treatment is needed, but if needed, the procedure can be repeated 4 to 6 six months later.

Does it hurt?
*No pain or discomfort is felt at all during the procedure. However, your skin may feel sensitive during the peeling process over the next 7 days.

What will I experience with the peel?
*After removal of the mask the first night, your skin may be slightly yellow tinged. This is temporary and will fade in a few hours. For the next 7 days, the skin will be more red than usual. Peeling typically begins 48 hours after the mask is removed, and lasts for 2-5 days.

You will return to Evolution Body Transformation 10 days after the treatment to check results.

For the next 90 days, you will apply the provided facial cream.

What will be the results?
*Most see a significant improvement in the appearance of the discolored patches. The dark spots lighten, and skin texture and tone improve. Most, but not all patients experience peeling of the skin. Even if your skin does not peel, you are still receiving the benefits of the procedure, which include collagen stimulation, diminished pigmentation, and improved skin tone and texture. As with all procedures, results may vary.
