HOW LASER HAIR REMOVAL WORKS
Vectus uses powerful laser energy to destroy hair follicles below the surface of the skin.
Unlike traditional methods that remove hair at the skin’s surface, the Vectus uses powerful laser energy to destroy hair follicles below the surface of the skin. What sets the Vectus™ Laser apart is, primarily, the highest efficiency, shorter duration of treatments and safety. To prevent hair from growing back, several sessions will be needed to treat all of the hair follicles. It can remove unwanted hair from the face, arms, back, underarms, legs, chest, and the bikini area, without harming your skin. Laser hair removal is safe for most skin types.
The Vectus is equipped with a Sapphire cooling tip, which means that the skin is cooled down at every stage of the treatment: before, during and after the emission of light. This allows to apply higher energy doses during the treatment and therefore significantly increase its effectiveness.
RESULTS
After about two weeks, the hair begins to gradually fall out. Dark and thick hair is easiest and quickest to get rid of. However, the Cynosure Vectus laser also works great with fair and red hair. Studies indicate a 95% effectiveness at removing unwanted body hair. To achieve the best results, it is recommended to perform 4 to 6 treatments per area. Due to the process of hair growth, it is best to perform treatments in the following time intervals:
• 4-6 weeks – armpits, bikini, forearms, face, hands;
• 8-10 weeks – legs, back, buttocks.
THE VECTUS IS EQUIPPED WITH A SAPPHIRE COOLING TIP
Before the treatment, the device is applied in a place to be depilated and performs at least three measurements of the level of active melanin. Based on this reading, it sets the most favorable laser parameters for a given individual. In practice, this means that thanks to the individual choice of energy, we can use higher parameters that are still safe for the patient. The result is that the increased effectiveness of the treatment. The Vectus has a large laser spot size, meaning that even sizable areas like the chest and back can be treated quickly. The duration of the procedure depends mainly on the size of the depilated surface. For example: armpit hair removal lasts about 15 minutes, Brazilian bikini takes 30 minutes, while leg hair removal is a time investment of more than 60 minutes. Patients are able to return to their normal routines immediately following laser hair removal without experiencing any downtime. Best of all, you won’t endure painful razor burn or cut yourself shaving with a razor anymore.
